God’s Elder Servants

 -

God’s elder servants never retire from God’s chosen ministry, they are active in the shadows,

we just hand the torch of leadership to God’s chosen trained younger men,

praying they will seek God’s wisdom and seek wise counsel from elder servants in their ministry,

praying they will be wise leaders in their chosen ministry and serve as God chosen men.

Even though God’s elder servants are no longer at the helm

We pray for those at the helm that they will fight the good fight,

through the glorious power of Almighty God while at the helm,

never once comprising the cause of Christ in the midst of the fight.

Even though God’s elder servants are no longer at the helm

We pray for those at the helm that they will stay God’s chosen course,

by walking, resting and abiding in Christ while at the helm,

never once forsaking the cause of Christ for the worlds course.

Even though God’s elder servants are no longer at the helm

We pray for those at the helm that they will keep the faith,

by preaching and teaching the whole counsel of God while at the helm,

never once comprising the truths of God’s Word for popularity.

Even though God’s elder servants are no longer at the helm

We pray for those at the helm that they will pray for those at the helm,

when they pass the torch of leadership to those chosen to take the helm,

they will continue to serve in the shadows when they become elder servants.

Paul spoke these words when his appointed time came to depart.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 2 Timothy 4:6

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8
