The scarlet thread of my saviours sufferings. In the valley of decision

 -

In my heart, I see my precious Saviour kneeling there in the Garden of suffering.

In the valley of decision, He prays with all the fervency of His soul.

For His precious soul was sorely troubled and exceedingly sorrowful,

until my Sweet Saviour began to sweat as it were great drops of blood,

until His garments became awash with His own Divine blood.

With His blood falling to the ground so that the ground became blood soaked.

Weakened so much that an Angel came down from Heaven to strengthen Him,

for all the Hosts of Heaven were watching from the Portals of Heaven.

For my sweet Saviour knew it would cost Him dearly,

when He drank, that bitterest of all cups,

the cup of all man’s sins past and present and future sins.

He knew He would lose the presence of His Heavenly Father,

when He drank that bitterest of all cups all of mans filthy sins.

In His Humanity, He knew His heavenly Father would forsake Him,

during the darkest of hours there on a tree on Mt Calvary.

Yet, My Sweet Saviour said these words:

Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me:

Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

My sweet Saviour there in the Valley Decision surrendered His will to do the will of His Heavenly Father.

May we by the Grace of God in our Valley Of Decision say these words from the very depths of our heart?

Saying, Father if thou be willing remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will but thine, be done.

It might be the bitter cup of fiery trials of suffering of untold pain and anguish.

It might be the cup of separation from loved ones on some foreign field of service.

It might be the cup of poverty through loss of job due to economic events beyond our control.

May we say no matter what it might cost me, say “nevertheless, I will drink my cup” as God’s Son said.

There in the Dark Valley of Decision during His dark hours in Gethsemane.

Where would we be if He did not drink His bitter cup of our sins according to His Fathers will?

What will we lose if we do not drink our bitter cup there in the valley of decision?

For what will we lose at the judgment seat of Christ on our judgment day as these words say?

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,

because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Yes, will you have my dear brother any rewards to lay before our Lord our righteous judge?

Or my dear brother will you be naked and ashamed with no crowns to lie before our Lord our righteous judge?
