Was There No Room?

 -

Why was God’s only begotten Son born in the stench of a manger not a palace?

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes

and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

I say is not God Sovereign? Could He not make room for his Son in the Inn?

In God’s Wisdom, He knew the proud and the rich would scorn.

In God’s Wisdom, He knew only those who would humble themselves,

and become as a  little child in faith would believe.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child

the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God

as a little child shall in no wise enter therein

The Black Thread Of God’s Darkest Hour

 -

In The Counsel Of the Triune God In Eternity Past Yet As One.

Was foreordained what would be God’s Darkest Hour

In the darkest of hours man’s soul would be redeemed,

from the slave market of sin headed by Satan himself.

The Question Is Asked, What Will Be The Price For Man’s Soul?

To redeem man’s soul in the tight grip of Satan in the slave market of sin.

God said, “Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.”

For I shed innocent blood to clothe Adam with skin because of his nakedness.

The Question Is Asked, Who Could Make That Perfect Sacrifice?

For it was foreordained in the eternity past that a perfect sacrifice must be made,

for God Himself slew innocent animals to clothe Adam,

for man s, soul could only be redeemed by the blood of an innocent one.

The Question Is Asked, Who Is That “Perfect Sacrifice?” Without Spot Or Blemish.

The angels of Heaven could not begin to measure up to Gods High Standards,

nor could sinful and wicked carnal man on earth ever measure up to Gods High Standards.

There was not one of God’s created beings that could appease God’s Holy hatred of sin.

The Question Is Answered In The Counsel. By God’s Son The Lord Jesus Christ.

As He arose from His throne High and Lifted up. He said, “I will go.”

I will lay aside my royal robes of honor and humbly take upon the robes of flesh,

to be that innocent Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the earth.

I will be conceived in the womb of a virgin and humbly be born as the God-Man

I will set my heart and my mind to do the will of my Heavenly Father.

I will not by the will of God be deterred from the darkest of hours by Satan or man.

I will allow wicked men in those dark hours, to humiliate Me, to crucify Me, and bury Me.

On the third day from the darkest of tombs by thy will and power, I will arise.

And He was Victor over Death, Hell, and the Grave for the cords of death could not hold Him.

Yes, He paid the price of His innocent Divine blood, to free man’s soul from the slave market of sin,

so that man could be free from the burden of his sins and be reconciled back unto to God

God’s Peace Offering To All Mankind

 -

God’s greatest desire, was to reconcile man back to Himself

He yearned to again commune, and to walk with man whom He had created,

in his own image and placed in the Garden of Eden nearly 6,000 years ago.

His heart was greatly grieved when man disobeyed Him and fell into sin and hid himself.

God in His love, mercy, and grace made a promise that He would provide a way

So that man could again commune with Him and walk with Him in the cool of the day.

In eternity past by Divine counsel of a Triune God it was foreordained by God,

that His Son the Lord Jesus Christ was the only one who could appease,

His Holy wrath against sin for there was no created being that could.

God’s Son Jesus Christ arose from His throne and laid aside His Kingly Garments

Of His outward expression of His glories of Heaven I will go.

To be conceived in the womb of a virgin and to born as the God-Man.

To be the peace offering that might reconcile all mankind back to myself.

By suffering, by humiliation, death by crucifixion, at the hands of very wicked men.

God’s Son Jesus Christ arose from that Dark Tomb victor over the death, hell, and the grave

To be buried in a virgin tomb, and to be risen on the third day by God victor over death and hell.

To be the peace offering, the only offering that could reconcile man back to His Creator God Almighty.

A peace offering, offered as a gift held out to every man, women, and child on earth.

To whosoever will reach up with a broken repentant heart and accept God’s gift of peace with God..

Knowing now, they have the peace of God in their hearts and have the most precious gift given eternal life.

God’s Glorious Son The Lord Jesus Christ

 -

There on the banks of the brook Cedron.

As the bitter waters flowed by, they sang a doleful song of death.

There on the banks at the darkest of nights in history.

Stood God’s Son The Lord Jesus Christ with His eyes heavenward.

Lifting His soul up in prayer to His Heavenly Father.

Saying, from the depths of His sorrowful and troubled soul.

That the foreordained darkest of hours had happened upon Him.

His soul was not sorrowful or troubled over the agonizing pain.

Nor the humiliation He would suffer at the hands of wicked men,

sorrowful soul troubled because He would loose the presence of His Father.

Saying, these words unto His Heavenly Father.

Glorify thy Son so that I might glorify Thee.

For I have glorified Thee while I was here on earth.

For I have finished the work you have given me to do.

For He sought glory from His Father not from man.

Saying, these words unto His Heavenly Father

Thou hast given me power over all flesh.

and I have given unto them eternal life.

So they may know the only true living God,

and have communion with Him for all eternity in Heaven.

Saying, these words unto His Heavenly Father

Soon the darkest of hours will descend upon Me.

Soon pain, humiliation, and death will rack my flesh.

But beyond this is what my heart dwells on.

I will return to Heaven and to my former glory.

May we who are His own by His precious blood,

shed on Calvary’s tree and free by His death from death.

Now waiting and watching for his soon return for His own.

Seeking glorify His precious name while we are waiting for resurrection morn.

May we seek not the glory of earthly man while here on earth?

Rather may we seek to Glorify the One who gave us Eternal Life?

No matter what God may call upon us to do for Him.

It may be untold pain to martyrdom for we know not.

Let us not dwell upon our sufferings only the glories of Heaven.

That we might hear our Saviour say, “Well done my good and faithful Servant.”

That we might hear our Saviour say, May thy name be glorified my faithful servant.

Why Did He?

 -

Why Did He Suffer So Much Agony In The Dark Hours Of Gethsemane?

Agonizing so much in prayer to His heavenly Father,

until He began to sweat as it were great drops of blood.

Why? Because He surrendered His will to drink the bitter cup of my sins.

Why? Because He Loved Me So Very Much. Because He is God.

Why Did He Suffer So Much Agony In The Dark Hours Of His Humiliation?

He allowed wicked men to mar His visage beyond recognition.

He allowed wicked men to scourge Him to the point of death.

He allowed wicked men to mock him and crown Him with a Crown of Thorns.

Why? Because He Loved Me So Very Much. Because He is God.

Why Did He Suffer So Much Agony And Shame In The Dark Hours Of Calvary?

Oh what forgiveness, love, and grace as they nailed Him to that Cross.

Then in the dark hours of Calvary He was forsaken by God as He drank that cup of my sin.

As the sun shone, again Jesus said these words I thirst.

As the sun shone, again Jesus said these words,   He cried it is finished.

Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: he gave up the ghost

Why? Because He Loved Me So Very Much. Because He is God.

Why Did He Suffer The Terrors Of Death There In The Dark Hours In The Tomb?

The demons danced with glee as the death angel bound Him in the grave.

The greatest spiritual battle took place in those dark hours in the tomb.

Praise God to the Highest! He burst forth from that dark tomb victor over death and hell.

Why? Because He Loved Me So Very Much. Because He is God.

Where Art Thou?

 -

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:

Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden,

and the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, where art thou?

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

Where Art Thou? Implores The Maker Of All Mankind

I created Adam in my image from the dust of the ground.

I breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

My breath of life caused him to become an eternal living spirit.

Where Art Thou? Implores The Maker Of All Mankind

I created Adam in my image that I might fellowship with thee.

That I might walk and talk with thee in the cool of the day,

about the creation that I have given thee dominion over.

Where Art Thou? Implores The Maker Of All Mankind

Knowing full well the consequences of his act Adam in fear,

answered God saying I was naked and hid myself from thee.

knowing the curse of physical death would be his lot and his posterity.

But God in His Grace, Mercy and love made this promise saying,

I will send MY Peace Offering, The Seed of Woman My Son.

To shed His blood upon Calvary’s Tree and to become a curse for all mankind,

so that you might again walk and talk with me in the cool of the day.

Where Art Thou? Implores The Maker Of All Mankind

I found you and saved thee from eternal damnation in the Lake Of Fire.

I became a curse for you and died for you and now you ignore me and hide from me.

You give me lip service never service from the very depths of your heart.

Where Art Thou? Implores The Maker Of All Mankind

I found thee and saved thee from eternal damnation in the Lake Of Fire.

Yet thee are too busy in the flesh to walk in my spirit and abide in me.

Yet thee are too busy in the flesh to sit and wait and listen to Me.

Where Art Thou? Implores The Maker Of All Mankind

I found thee and saved thee from eternal damnation in the Lake Of Fire,

Yet thee are too busy in the flesh to meditate in My Word day and night.

Yet thee are too busy in your fleshly works to rest in My works.

So busy you have forgotten there is a day of judgment coming for all born again believers.

Where thee will be judged not for sin, for they are the under the blood, but for hiding from Me.

Dedicated To My Sweet Wife Mary

 -

These prose writings are written in memory of the deep love she had for her Lord and Saviour, for her husband, and for others. These prose writings express the deep love we had for each other, a love that was rooted and grounded in the Lord Jesus Christ. In all the thirty years of our ministry together for our Lord Jesus Christ, she always stood by me. In the darkest of valleys, and there were many, she was always there, with her words of encouragement, with her sweet smile to chase away the blues.
